Balls!
I dreaded the moment I opened my eyes on Sunday morning. I was supposed to go bowling at One Utama.
“Yeah yeah. Another round of major embarrassment and ego bashing!” I thought to myself.
I was pleasantly surprise though. The curse on my almost non existence aim somehow evaporated and I managed to score more than 100!!! That was what I have wanted to do.
First game, when I scored 121, I dismissed it as a fluke. It must be sheer luck. But when I scored 122 on the second game, my confidence soared. I scored 129 on the last game, despite being the one with the lowest score!

AJ kept saying it must be the sweet sour wanton we had for lunch that gave me the extra oomph… I thought I was wearing a lucky t shirt… then I told Amy that we should continue to use Lane 6 – my lucky lane next time we bowl in One U. But I think it was ML who brought me such good luck, as this is the first time that she bowled with us.
While we were taking turns to roll the ball onto the 10 pins, I overheard conversation between AJ and Frankie.
Frankie: How heavy is her ball?
AJ: Which one?
They rolled on the floor laughing.
Later, while ML was waiting for her bowling ball to return…
Frankie: What is she waiting for?
Me: She is waiting for her ball.
Frankie smirked.
Me: Why are you smiling?
Frankie: I see you smile, I smile lah!
Both of us rolled on the floor laughing.
When it was Frankie’s turn to bowl…
Me: What are you waiting for?
Frankie: I am waiting for my ball to come back.
Me: I thought you’ve got two balls.
Then all of us rolled on the floor laughing.
There.. I guess enough balls stories for one day. I am ecstatic!
