The Week That Was
Been working like a dog the past few days due to some adhoc things in office. For my boss, traveling plan to neighboring country had been cancelled and substituted with much, much further and longer journeys. He would be away for the whole week. I could finally do some spring cleaning for my dust infested cubicle while listening to Andrea Bocelli full blast!
One of the photocopy machine died on Monday, along with the internet. Hence, no internet connection in office for the rest of the week. There seemed to be a hardware problem which would need an entire week to rectify.
Everyone’s getting frustrated waiting for the other surviving photocopy machine to fax, scan, copy and do all kinds of things. While waiting for my turn to use the machine with terrible mood swings, I saw the tea lady (I don’t know why she is called a tea lady when all she did in office was reading the newspapers or magazines, gossiping (wait.. I do this too), wasting time walking around the office, etc) photocopying SUDOKU from the newspapers.
I didn’t say anything but I guess my face showed murderous wrath – as if I am going to eat her up. She scurried away with her pathetic newspaper cutting and hid in her cubicle.
Watched Shrek3 on Saturday. It was funny. I couldn’t recollect the first two episodes of Shrek. I still think the best animated show is “It’s a Bug’s Life!”. I was at the Curve yesterday to catch “Hot Fuzz” courtesy of WY’s dad. It was hilarious. Utterly stupid but nevertheless entertaining. Yes. I did the annoying thing of predicting the next scene again and was accurate.
I was glad that I decided to stay put on home on Sunday. The rain was horrendous. I remember I did wish for rain everyday but not till this extent! I think I wished way too hard this time. And how I wish that I could use this wish technique for winning some lotteries, huh?
Man…I am so in need of a getaway.
