Hot Date

I went out for a hot date last night. It was hot because I was practically sweating throughout the entire date – except when we were in the freezing cold cinema to watch Barnyard.

Now I understand why Yuin is so frustrated whenever his sweat breaks out like dripping pipe when he sinks his teeth on spicy food. It could be a very ugly sight if you go out on a hot date. He wants his sweat glands to be surgically removed permanently, if possible.

As for me, I have been having hyperactive sweat glands for as long as I could remember. It was in the genes. My mom sweats a lot too. One thing we really thank God for is that; despite having hyperactive sweat glands; we don’t stink.

Whenever I come out from the shower, beads of sweat would congregate on my forehead as if they were on strike and my mom thinks I don’t towel dry myself properly or saying I miss a spot to dry.

That is why I detest applying make up. No point. I would rub them all off as soon I applied them. It was a miracle that my mascara stayed intact, even if I don’t apply the waterproof one. Or else, I would look like “L” in Death Note without help of a make up artist (I don’t mind really – L looks much better than me). After I apply make up, I would quickly get into the car and put the air conditioner blowing right on my face before the make up melts.

“L”

I try to avoid the spotlight whenever I am out dining with friends. I just don’t understand why restaurants always put spotlights. They are so hot. It is so unfriendly for people with hyperactive sweat glands.

It was just a year ago that I began to sweat even while walking about in air conditioned shopping mall. This is getting a bit out of hand. I wonder is it because of the supplements that I am on to increase metabolism rate (which don’t seemed to work either).

I wish that there will be a day when they invented clothes with built in air conditioning. Or a spray that stops sweating at crucial moments.

Or start going on dates in mamak shop. It seems perfectly natural to sweat in mamak, I supposed.

As for the date last night, I can’t deny it; he’s hot too (not sweating).

Sounds familiar; used to sweat alot too but it certainly can be cured.
The cause is mental, just need to be aware of the triggers and then stop
    reacting to them :)

Am glad you got yourself a hot as in not merely sweaty date :P As much as I detest it, I sweat very easily too. The slightest physical exertion will break out in sweat. Wait till you see me eat spicy food. Hahaha…Niagara falls also lose.

I read somewhere once that botox could paralyze the sweat glands, and could last up to 9 months. but dunno if its safe or not.

Maybe your sub-concious mind thinks your date is hot and then throws your body’s sweat gland into overdrive :P

He should think of it as a compliment from you ;)

By the way, that’s not ‘L’ lah – it looks like a female in disguise as ‘L’ – a ‘L’ wannabe.

This reminds me of something I saw last Sunday.

A couple was holding hands and walking in BB Plaza. I notice the armpit part of the guy’s T-shirt is wet with sweat. Then he let go off his gf’s hand and put his hands in his shirt to wipe his armpit with his BARE HANDS. Nope, he didn’t even use a tissue. Immediately after that he continue to hold his gf’s hand.

    HAHHAAHAHA…Yucks!!

    abbot: Mind over matters? Hmmph.

VJ: You sound more excited than my mother. Hahaha!

JoeC: I don’t really fancy steamboat. Nothing to do with me being overly sweaty. I just don’t like my food steamed or souped.

Puzzled: We belong to the same category of people. Sigh.

inaesb: You should come and have dinner with me and Yuin. See whose Niagara Falls falls harder. Hahahahahah.

Yuin: Serious boh?? You better not.

Kleio: LOL. He said he didn’t notice that I sweat. Probably he was sweating too, at other places. Hahahah. Yeah… I can’t get a better pic of L, so this is it.

Ann: At least I have a hankie with me and wife and I didn’t go and hold other people’s hands. Hahahahah. Eyeh.. the gf must have been immuned to it.

Straymana: I hope he did not notice. Hahahaha.

Stevo: That is for bleeding lah.. not sweating. LOL.
