Headless Chicken

Yesterday was hectic. I was practically running around the office like a headless chicken (Not to mention sweating profusely as well, according to Ms Butterfly). Finally, my quarterly hecticness is back, after laying almost idle in office for 3 months. A most welcomed change.

Come lunch, I was waiting under the tree for my sis when I saw a huge black crow perching on the tree. I wanted to shoo it away but then, remember how the crows tried to peck my cousin brother when he did the same a few years ago that he had to wear cap for almost 2 months because the crows somewhat recognized him. Then, I recalled recent news of a motorcyclist whose eye was blinded after a crow pecked his face. Scary shit!

I am still very clueless about wordpress despite spending almost a day figuring out which button does what, how, where.. aiyoh.. it was quite terrible, but I find the layout is rather impressive. Please bear with me till I could post pics. Damn shitty process! Cilakak. I have an idea of what to write earlier but it somehow diminished into thin air because fiddling with buttons wore me out. It’s quite potong stim when you are not familiar with things.

As hectic as the day was, I went out to have dinner with a couple of friends. It was another blind date, but not mine. Wan Wan and I were setting up Siu Keong with Budak Kilang. Remember Budak Kilang? The chic that picked me up in the steambath in gym a year ago? Boy.. that was a long time ago. How Budak Kilang has changed over the one year, I am surprised. She still wears her baju kilang to work, but she makes sure, if she were to go out with me, she would dress up at least, and with lip gloss or else, she will get some nagging from me. Yeah Yeah! Look who’s talking? This comes from someone who sometimes, doesn’t even comb her hair when she goes out.

Another update in the house – Lok Lok’s mom just gave birth to another baby boy yesterday. She would send the little boy to our house once after he is a month old. Geez… the night feeding will start again. I cringe at this thought. I pray to God he is a good little boy.

Today I had nice surprises. My boss’ client dropped me some raya kuihs and dodol. So sweet of him, really. Also, I went out with Yuin (He doesn’t like me calling him Marine Boy) to help him to shop for a camera. He bought Casio Exilim EX-Z1000.. I am so.. freaking jealous….. of his camera!

Since he just got back from Cairo, he bought me some stuffs – dates stuffed with almonds, the packaging looks pretty neat, as well as two bottles of concentrated perfume that burnt a hole in his pocket. Actually it was an unplanned buy (It’s good also that I am such a “dumpsite” – anyone can dump me things they didn’t want- LOL!!! Kidding, Yuin!). They were lured into the perfume museum which looks like a typical perfume shop and then, no one shall leave the museum without any purchase. He was ripped off USD35 for 2 bottles. Seriously, after what he had just told me, I somewhat felt disappointment and relunctant to visit Egypt.

Clockwise from top: Dodol nicely wrapped, the dates stuffed with almonds, the ripped off perfume (nice bottles!) and … a boy, being a boy, forgotten that he left the receipt in the bag. USD16 for a packet of dates?

God? Why? God, WHY Yuin was born a little bit too late? I would have consider him if not due to such huge age barrier! Hahaha! Kidding! (I know I am getting delusional!) I think he would make a good future cousin-in-law though.

For Takeshi, kthxbai means ok, thanks and bye. Jesus. I just got to know this today.
